How to Create and Publish a Blog Post
How to Create and Publish a Blog Post
From Video to Transcript to Published Post — The Complete Workflow
When Demitri sends you a new training or Coaching Pop By video, the goal isn't simply to upload the video somewhere.
We're going to turn that one video into multiple pieces of communication:
Video → Transcript → Blog Post → Published Resource → Agent Communication
This process makes the training easier for agents to find, gives them the choice to watch or read the content, and gives us another reason to communicate with our agents.
The process is straightforward once you've done it a few times.
Watch the training video below first. It walks you through the entire process from receiving the original video through publishing the finished blog post.
The Blog Post Publishing Process
Use the following workflow each time you receive a new training video.
Step 1: Create the Transcript in Happy Scribe
Start with the MP4 video you've received.
Log into Happy Scribe and:
Go to My Transcripts
Select New
Select Transcribe a File
Upload the MP4
Leave it as Machine Generated
Turn on Auto-Create
Allow Happy Scribe to process the video
There's no need to change the other transcription settings.
Once processing is complete, locate the finished transcription, click the three dots, and export it as a Word document.
You now have the transcript you'll use to create the blog post.
Step 2: Turn the Transcript Into a Blog Post With ChatGPT
Open the appropriate ChatGPT project for creating blog posts.
Start a new conversation and upload the Word document you exported from Happy Scribe.
Use the standard instruction:
“This is the transcript of a coaching video I made. Turn the transcript into a blog post. Give me a title to use. The video will also be placed in the blog post. If you have a recommendation on what text to put before and after the video, that would be helpful.”
ChatGPT will use the transcript to turn the spoken training into a structured article.
It should also recommend where the original video belongs within the article.
Review the finished article before moving forward.
Remember: ChatGPT gives you a starting point, not an excuse to stop thinking.
If something can be made clearer or more useful to the reader, improve it.
Step 3: Create the Blog Post
Next, go into the website administration area.
Navigate to:
Sites → Blogs
Choose the appropriate blog.
For example, agent-facing Coaching Pop By content should go into the Coaching Pop By blog.
Create a New Post and choose the manual option.
Copy the finished article from ChatGPT and paste it into the blog editor.
Step 4: Insert the Original Video
Find the location in the article where ChatGPT indicated that the video should be embedded.
Remove the placeholder text.
Insert a new line at that location and choose:
Insert Video
Upload the original MP4 into the appropriate video folder.
For Coaching Pop By content, use the Coaching Pop By video area.
Once the video has uploaded, select it and choose Insert Video.
The finished post should now give the reader both options:
Watch the training or read the training.
Step 5: Review and Format the Article
Don't immediately hit Publish.
Read through the finished page.
Check:
Headings and spacing
Paragraph breaks
Video placement
Spelling
Obvious transcription errors
Whether important information should be bolded or emphasized
Whether the article is easy to scan
Whether anything useful from the video is missing
You don't need to redesign the article, but make it look clean and professional.
Step 6: Complete the Blog Settings
Click Continue and complete the publishing information.
Title
Use the final title selected for the article.
Slug
Create a short, descriptive URL slug.
Use lowercase words separated by hyphens.
For example:
welcome-agent-video
Keep this slug in mind because the resulting URL will become the direct link to the individual blog post.
Category
Choose the appropriate category for the content.
For agent Coaching Pop By articles, select:
Coaching Pop By
Author
Set the author to:
Demitri
Keywords
Keywords are not currently a priority for these posts, so don't spend unnecessary time on them.
Featured Image
Do not add a featured image unless specifically requested.
The current blog layout doesn't display these images well, so leaving the image blank produces a cleaner result.
Description
Add a short description explaining what the post contains.
For example:
“Welcome video for agents providing a basic tour of the Cash Offer Training & Resource Center.”
Keep it short and useful.
Step 7: Publish or Save as a Draft
If the post is complete and ready to go, select the publication date and publish it.
If Demitri needs to review it first, save it as a draft instead.
After publishing, open the actual blog to verify that:
The post appears
The formatting looks correct
The video appears
The video plays
The direct post link works
Never assume that because you clicked Publish everything worked correctly.
Verify it.
One More Step: Make the Blog Post Useful
When you're reviewing the finished article, think beyond simply reproducing the video.
Ask:
“Is there anything I could add that would make this page more useful?”
For example, a direct blog-post URL may take an agent to an individual article without giving them an obvious way back to the main Training & Resource Center.
In that situation, adding a link such as:
Return to the Agent Training & Resource Center
can improve the experience.
The transcript won't necessarily tell you to add something like that.
Use good judgment.
The goal isn't simply to complete a task.
The goal is to create a useful resource for the person who will eventually read it.
Step 8: Create the Agent Communication
Publishing the blog post is not the end of the job.
Every new training post is also an opportunity to communicate with our agents.
Once the article is live:
Copy the direct URL to the new post.
Create an email announcing the new training.
Give the email a compelling subject line.
Briefly explain what the agent will learn.
Include the direct link to the article.
Give them a reason to watch or read it.
Don't make agents hunt through the website trying to find the training.
Send them directly to it.

Before You Mark the Task Complete
Make sure all of the following have been done:
The video was transcribed.
The transcript was turned into a readable blog post.
The correct blog was selected.
The original video was embedded.
The article was reviewed for readability and spelling.
The title and slug were completed.
The correct category was selected.
Demitri was selected as the author.
A short description was added.
No unnecessary featured image was added.
The publication date was set.
The published page was checked.
The embedded video was tested.
The direct URL was copied.
An email was created to announce the new content.
Demitri was sent the finished link.
Once all of those are complete, the blog post is done.
